| Lake Tahoe is a large freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains of the United States, located along the border between California and Nevada at its major bend west of Carson City. The lake is known for the clarity of its water and the panorama of surrounding mountains on all sides. The area, often referred to as Tahoe, is home to a number of ski resorts and summer outdoor recreation. During the summer, the Lake Tahoe Area is popular for water sports and beach activities. The two cities most identified with the Lake Tahoe tourist area are South Lake Tahoe, California and the smaller Stateline, Nevada; smaller centers on the northern shoreline include Tahoe City and Kings Beach. Boating, the primary activity in Tahoe in the summer, is known worldwide. There are lake front restaurants all over the Lake, most equipped with docks and buoys. There are all sorts of boating events, such as sailboat racing, firework shows over the lake, guided cruises, and more. Lake Tahoe also has its own Coast Guard. |
Great location, wonderful ambiance. It
was just great. It was very nice and really
added to that "Tahoe" feel. It had all the
touches of home, the wireless internet
made keeping in touch with the real world
easy (even though I tried to forget about
the real world!) The beds made a nice
home to our tired bodies, they were
sooooo comfortable. I can't wait to come
back again, ... Thanks so much for the
wonderful stay, highly recommended!!!

What a great place. We had a perfect weekend in your log cabin. Everything was
so well taken care of inside and it was really well appointed. I would definitely
recommend this over any hotel in the area, and it is the nicest vacation rental we
have stayed at in the Tahoe area.

Well that's us back in frosty Scotland the holiday period is now
over.. We had a fantastic stay in your cosy welcoming
cabin,we looked after it and hope we left it in the same
condition as when we arrived, it was everything we had
expected. We found the local people in Tahoe very open and
friendly, and intend to return in the future. We caught the snow
storm which transformed the whole place into winter
playground,so off for the skies and snow mobiles fortunately
we had a 4*4 jeep which made getting around a lot easier.

We just spent a wonderful weekend at
Bernie's Place cabin in South Lake Tahoe
and had a wonderful time. This is the first
time that we stayed in a vacation rental
home instead of a hotel -- and it was
perfect. The house is a cozy little log cabin
with a lot of charm The cabin is placed
about 1/2 a mile to the lake and it is only a
10 minute drive to downtown South Lake
Tahoe. Everything was in order when we
arrived. There were two queen size beds in
the cabin that were extremely comfortable,
we had no problem sleeping in. There was
also a charming back patio with a firepit to
sit around. We'd definitely recommend this
cabin!!!

"A real and warm mountain cabin feel"
It was easy to get to and the driveway was freshly
snowplowed upon my arrival. No hassle getting and
the place was immaculate when I arrived. I really felt
warm inside the place and you knew you were in a
mountain cabin because of all the wood and decor.
There no problems with anything whatsoever and my
kids loved the place. I would definitely recommend it
and would stay there again.

Location was excellent. Close to most of the sightseeing venues and stores.
Homey feeling with books to read and dvds to watch. I especially loved the
idea of placing portable fans in the bedrooms, because it did get a bit warm
in the night and we had to switch them on.The owner was very flexible with
the check-in and check-out timings, and he readily agreed to our request for
a late check-out.
